• Many Haiku monumental inscriptions were built on the roadside because of famous Haiku poet Shiki Masaoka and novelist Soseki Natsume. Sightseeing site is walking distance around Matsuyama Castle.

• Matsuyama Castle was built by Yoshiaki Kato and the biggest castle in Shikoku Island. It is one of 12 main castle towers remaining in Japan.
