• Opening the Moji harbor is 1889. Because it related to industrial power of Northern Kyushu, it became the base of the continental trade, outport passenger boats of near by 200 a month enter the harbor, and there were passengers of nearly six million people a year including a domestic sea route in the best days. It does not have the atmosphere these days, but it sells sightseeing attraction through the retrospective town. Everything is in hundreds of meters from the Moji harbor station front. It is a snug town.

• Moji harbor station : A business was opened as Old Moji Station on the February 1, 1914. A symmetric station was specified for the important cultural asset, first in the country as the railway station by the wooden building of the neo-Renaissance style in December, 1988. The station that shines in the lighting at nighttime is the mood and is also romantic.
  
  Old Kyushu railway memorial : The old Kyushu railway headquarters (The alias: red brick) was reborn to the Kyushu railway memorial in the summer of 2003. There are a mini railway park etc. that can run on the railway track by driving a railway large panorama in the exhibition of a nostalgic thing vehicle and the railway cultural heritage, the driving experience facilities, and Kyushu and the mini trains for myself.
  
  Old Moji Mitsui club : The Old Moji Mitsui club is the one constructed in 1921 as serving and accommodations of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and Mr. and Mrs. Einstein had been staying next year. The ground floor has a restaurant and the event hall. Second floor has material rooms of the Einstein memorial room and the writer and Hayashi Fumiko.
  
  Kanmon Bridge : The tunnel plan passed through Kanmon strait or the bridge plan raised at the Meiji era, and minister of state was making remarks in 1896, "Constructing a bridge is necessary." In 1919, it was strongly opposed by the army and the tunnel was proposed, saying that "The bridge becomes the target of the enemy plane" and it was decided to the age to pass the railway tunnel under Kanmon strait. The tunnel construction started in 1937 and opened five years later. The construction plan of the bridge was announced in 1965. At that time, the longest Suspension Bridge in Japan and 9th in the world. (The tenth place today in Japan and in the 23rd place in the world). Kanmon bridge construction started in1965. The cable that supports Suspension Bridge makes to one bunch bringing 91 piano wires of 5mm in the diameter together, and, in addition, is tied in one by 154 of the bunches though. One cable consists of 14,014 piano wires. One piano wire endures the weight of 3t and total extension of the wire becomes the three quarters surroundings the earth.   Yamaguchi bank, Moji branch (1934) : It was designed by Kotaro Sakurai who learned at London University. It is brought together by the motif of a British Classicism. The entire decoration has the feature of the bank construction mainly composed of the profoundness few though the festoon decoration is seen in the upper part of the window of the first floor.
  
  Old Osaka Lines : It is a penthouse of the octagon and vivid orange walls is a mark. It was used as a traveler waiting room in a continental sea route by the one that the Osaka Lines, Ltd. Moji branch to be built in 1917 was restored. At that time, the penthouse of the octagon was playing the role as the lighthouse. 1st floor is used as Strait romance hall and the second floor are "Gallery of Sea" and Moji harbor art village gallery "Matiere of port" in first floor now.
  
  Home and Ringer Company : The Home and Linger Company was established by Mr. Home and Mr. Ringer of the employee of Glover Company in Nagasaki. It is Scottish and British company. It has been moved from Shimonoseki in 1952. The director here serves as the honorary consul of Sweden, and the national flag of Sweden is hanging in front of the entrance.
  
  Moji Harbor Retro observation room : Observation room is in three first floor in garret part of high rise apartment "Retro hybrid mart" of Kisho Kurokawa design. The superb view point that can be looked about the street of the Moji Harbor retro or Kanmon strait before one's eyes from 103m in height. Please visit once by all means though the retro and the skyscraper might not be seemed to combine of a modern high-rise building. It can enjoy a large panorama of 270 degrees from the aspect not to be able to do the view up to now. Moreover, the observatory where the latest equipment not seen is in order in other facilities such as digital telescopes that can be expanded up to information periscope "Istea" and 17 magnifications.   The international friendship commemoration library : One of the east China railway office that imperial Russia constructed in China (Tairen) that the reproduction construction was done in commemoration of friendship city conclusion quinquennial of Northern Kyushu City and Tairen City. Restaurant is in the first floor, the library stored the document of China and east Asia in the second floor and the 3rd floor is data exhibition room.
  
  Old Moji customhouse : First building encountered a fire though it was built with the Moji customhouse inauguration in 1909 and a present building is building of 2 stories in brick built in 1912. It was used as a customhouse public office building until 1927. In the first floor, rest room, customhouse PR corner, and coffee shop "Retro cafe" and the second floors are the fine arts galleries.
  
  Moji port retro parking lot : Motor coach's parking lot was built for the tourist who is going to visits the Moji port retro district. The side in the parking lot is enclosed with the red brick that becomes antiquated because the wall of the warehouse of former is preserved and it was maintained. Moreover, there is "Retro sunflower pavilion (souvenir pavilion)" next to the parking lot, and it is found useful to the parking lot user. Moreover, when the night comes because the parking lot of 24 hours, it also is being used also by people who enjoy the night view of the retro district.
  
  Moji port hotel : Hotel where eminent architect, late Aldo Rossi designed for shark image. Art director Shigeru Uchida who represents Japan takes charge of interior design. The art sense drifts even in the detail, and resort feelings can be tasted. Graceful time can be enjoyed in the bar or restaurant where the height of the ceiling is comfortable and the light of Kanmon bridge can be looed at.
  
  Blue Wing Moji : It hangs over the boat anchoring port Moji and the only one splash bridge in the whole country only for the pedestrian. The contrast with beautiful blue violet of the splash bridge and red brick color of the old Moji customhouse is shown.
  
  The strait drama ship : Viewpoint such as "Strait retro street" that reproduce an average town of Taisho Era of 100 yeas ago including "Strait atrium" and "Strait history corridor" that reproduces the history of coiling round strait in the museum where the past and the present of Kanmon strait that opened on April 26, 2003 are felt by senses a lot.
