• Kikuya, having invited imperial household, is the main of "Hagi castle town." Long black and white check wall is given to the storehouse part. It is called the sea cucumber wall where white and black check intersect diagonally.

• Kikuya House : As for the residence, the shogunate inspection used and was appropriated to the base as hotel with the orders in the Hagi clan in the house of wealthy merchant Kikuya family that worked. Five houses (Main house, Warehouse, Safe house, Rice storage house and the boiler place) are specified for the important cultural asset in the country though a lot of warehouses and annexes are built on the residence ground. • Country's important cultural asset (construction) specified on May 21, 1974. Kikuya is an old family that worked for the orders in the clan. Main house is a span roof and faces north. The street earth floor is installed on the west side, "Shop" of the living space is 2.7 m front part of the house. inside 2 or three sideways rooms are located. It is extremely valuable the oldest in the whole country as a large-scale merchant house. • The Kikuya family moved from Yamaguchi to Hagi in 1604 together with entering the country of Terumoto Mori. They endeavored to construct the city under the castle, and received the residence in the town. Moreover, because it had been made to build houses for the feudal soldier and the great number of the foot soldiers on Akoga beach to live, it came to call Akoga beach as Kikuga beach. Because it has been maintained as the residence building considering the appearance maintenance, it is the oldest merchant house in the whole country and specified as the important cultural asset. • In the Tenju Temple grave yard, there are three tombstones in Terumoto Mori and his relatives. It becomes a dilapidated temple in 1869 and only the grave yard remains though dilapidated was built as a family temple in the place with Terumoto's this residence here after his death. Merchant house's front side is not wide but depth is long because tax is levied by the width.		Long black and white check wall, which is called the sea cucumber wall, continues.

Can enter to the garden from the special entrance.	Special wash basin rock to be dug deeply around.	This room was served only for the highness family.
