• House of Issei Maebara : Issei Maebara was born in l834, He studied at Shoka-sonjuku Academy and played an active role as a leader of students. He was executed for a revolt in l876.

• Nagayamon of the Kogawa family : The Kogawa family belonged to a lower samulai class served as the magistrate of the Hagi town from 1865 to 1868. The Nagayamon is the front gate of the Kogawa family mansion and was built in the Irimoya style with pan tile roofing. It is an oblong one story building, approximately 27 meters long and 6 meters wide. A half way and double-hinged entrance door is located at the center of the Nagayamon gate.

• Nagayamon of Okudaira families : Okudaira families were middle-rank samurai of Hagi clan. This gate is a long building with the length of 27.58 meters and the width of 5 meters. Judging from the construction techniques applied to the building, it is estimated to have been built in the early 19th century.

• Taro Katsura was morn in Hiyako, within the Hagi feudal, in 1847. He moved to this site at the age of 3. He played an active role as a general and a politician after he studied at Meirin-kan, a provincial school. He served as prime minister three times since 1901. He died at the age of 63 in 1913.

• Aiba river is a river that flows in Hagi city. It was excavated as a irrigation ditch in 1717 and enlarged to navigate small river boat in 1744. The water of this river was used for transportation, water for domestic use, the fire prevention rainwater and the agricultural water to the field.

• Yukawa Family Residence : It is not known when this mansion was built. It is a samurai-mansion style architecture. "Hatoba", which is a piece of equipment to take in the river water into the mansion, were established in the kitchen and bathroom. This type of water utilization is a typical one in the households along the Aiba River and excellent techniques were applied to it.

• Hatoba: Place where it was made to bring close to water making the stairs in the banks of a river. It was made in this Yugawa estate in two places (the bathroom and the kitchen). It is along the road, exists a lot in the average of the residence, there is a roof on it, and it remains in Aiba river now. 1.
