• 2001/7/21, Northern Japan, Hokkaido Furano. It was best timing. Flower lavenders are all around in the field. First impression to me is its nice smell. This trip is aimed just for lavender.

• There are some points to remind. First thing is timing. It blossoms during July 13 and 23 only. It is short. To say the truth, this trip was just Sapporo and Otaru of Hokkaido, but Hariki said to me that it was just lavender season. Then plan was changed to include Furano. It was by chance.

• Next thing is access to Furano. It takes 4:55 by normal train, but there is super express called Furano Lavender Express, and it takes just 2:45.

• Finally accommodation is very difficult for this season. Good hotels are reserved one year before just for this season.

• There are sightseeing buses, but they are limited then I recommend to check it before.
