• Mu's Mansion continues.

• Old Lijiang City is a historical and cultural city of China, and a heritage of human culture. Mu's Mansion is a "Da guan Garden" of Lijiang ancient culture. Mu, the chief of Naxi, has remained his chief family status in Lijiang for 22 generations and 470 years from Yuan Dynasty through Ming and Qing Dynasties.
  Mu enjoyed high prestige among the chiefs as well educated and mannered and honest. Mu's Mansion is at the city's south west corner. It's buildings in Ming Dynasty were magnificent. "It can match royal gardens", said Xu Xiake. In Qing Dynasty, the majority of the Mansion was destroyed in wars, following that was the ruin of stone archway in Cultural Revolution. After 1996's Earthquake, World Bank found its value and grant a large sum  to rebuild it. With 3 years' careful and hard design and construction work by Lijiang people, the Mu's Mansion stands out again like "a phoenix coming back to life".
  The Mansion occupies 46 mu and stretches 369 meters. It's located to face east to greet the morning sun. The archway writes Tian-Yu-Liu-Fang, which is the sound of "Let's read." In Naxi Language, showing Naxi people's passion for knowledge. The archway is all stone with three parts. It is the highlight of stone building in the garden. The meeting room is spacious and grand for chiefs' meetings. Wan Juan building has a collection of two thousand years' cultural heritage including Dongba volumes in thousands, Dazang in hundreds, prose precious literature works. Hu Fa hall (backyard meeting room) was for family affairs meetings. Guang Bi building is the gate building for  the backyard garden., historically called "the best of west Yunnan", Yu Yin building was for receiving emperor's orders, dancing and singing activities. San Qing hall was a Taoism construction.
  In the forest of Lion Mountain there are places for local ritual ceremonies praying Heaven, ancestors and Shu-the God of nature. The Mu Mansion reflects Naxi people's openness and multi-culture.
  The Mansion is a grand collection of architectural art with characteristics of inland style of Ming Dynasty. Its orientation shows traditional Naxi culture. Besides, the Mansion is a garden for ancient Naxi Kingdom's old trees and rare plants and mixes the freshness of nature and grandeur of royal palaces.
