• Distance to Bali from Japan was more than expected because in my image Bali is close to Japan. Direct flight takes 7 hours as same as Jakarta but this time the flight went via Jakarta by 10 hours. Interesting thing to me is time difference between Japan. When we were at transit stop in Jakarta, it is two-hour difference. But when we arrived at Denpasar, Bali, it became shorter of one hour. It becomes one hour shorter in Bali because it is closer to Japan.

• One more different image is weather. I thought Bali is as hot as Singapore or Jakarta right on the equator of blazing sun, but it was not. One of the reason is altitude of the place, Ubud, where we stayed. It is as high as several hundreds meter from sea level. It sounds nice to stay longer at this style of cottage in this comfortable weather. Average temperature is 24 to 32 degree C and dry season is from April to October, rainy season is from November to March. This time is end of September just in dry season. Bali is one of 17,000 islands in Indonesia and 25 times big as as Tokyo district.

• Although Indonesia has many Islamic, Bali religious is more than 90 percent of Hindu of three million population and land of Hindu. There are more than 20,000 Hindu temples in Bali. Rich family has their own Hindu temple inside the house.

• Hotel Kamandalu in Ubud is called as Kamandalu Resort & Spa which is best for women and it deserves as tropical resort. Kamandalu is said to be made as resemble as traditional village and it has this kind of atmosphere. Cottage where I stayed is called as Garden Villa and it is just like a cottage with tropical garden.
