• This Zen Garden was made in 1273 by Monk Enshin Tetsugyu depending upon the fork tale which tells a monk traveled to China in one night and got the lore.

• Front garden is called "Buddha-Light-Stone-Garden". Three stones are supposed as three Buddha, Shaka, Monju and Fugen. Chinese character Light is symbolized by twelve stones including main three stones. Only one stone garden in Kushu Island.

• Back garden is called "One-drop-Sea-Bottom". Depending upon the folk tale of traveling one night God, it is dry style garden made by the theme of Sea. "One-drop-Sea-Bottom" means that even big ocean starts from only one drop. Green moss means China continent and islands. White gravels mean water and big ocean. Beautiful dry garden structured by rounded curb.
