• Leaning Tower of Pisa is famous because Galileo Galilei confirmed the gravity by dropping an iron and a tree ball and to arrive at surface of the earth at the same time. Leaning Tower of Pisa, which construction started as a belfry in Duomo in 1173, happened ground subsidence and inclined when three layers were completed. Construction was done over again and again from the inclination of the subsidence and it was completed in 1370, 200 years after construction had started. The tower is put on the base of outside diameter of the doughnut type of 19.58m and 4.5m in inside diameter, and has 15.54m height in the first floor part and the maximum length 58.58m from under the base to the tower top. The full weight of the tower is 14,453 tons and the foundation ground receives the average load of 50.7 tons per square meters because all walls and galleries in the tower were built with the white marble. The registration name of World Heritage is "Duomo plaza in Pisa. "

• Duomo in Florence, actually Santa Maria del Fiore "or Virgin Mary cathedral of flower," is Italian Gothicism, and a big cathedral of 153m x 90m by the Arnolfo di Cambio design. It is said to have been built to show off the dignity of the town of Florence. Construction started in 1296 and finished in 1436, which took about 150 years until the completion of the cupola. The construction of the cupola,where the diameter is as big as 41.5 m, started in 1420 by Filippo Brunelleschi and completed in 1436. The stones of 27,000 tons were piled up geometrically, and the dome of the church is completely covered.
